Do Not Slander

Do not slander. It's not a request from God, it's a demand.
As Christians we are not supposed to talk bad about people, even people we don't like. We are all guilty of talking bad about somebody, even if it's the lady who just cut us off on the way home from work. We honk our horns, throw our arms up and give her a dirty look. Did you ever stop and think what kind of day that woman had today? What if you knew she had just lost somebody close to her, maybe her child? Would you still honk? As Christians instead of getting angry at the one who takes our place we should be inviting them.
Nothing justifies hatred or bitterness. Forgiveness, no matter how hard it is to give, is the only road to freedom.
Pastor John once said, "you must consider the benefits of peace to be more worthwhile than the perverse satisfaction of having some justification for your anger".
Choose peace! Live forgiven! Forgive so that you may live!
