Getting Things Right

Death is inevitable and judgment is certain. However, Christ gave us eternal life by providing Himself as our perfect sacrifice. We all will die someday and stand before God and the only way we can enter heaven is if we have accepted Him as our Savior who gave Himself and His life for our sin. One of my friends that I had known for several years was diagnosed with terminal cancer as a young adult. When she told me she had cancer, I couldn’t believe it. When her friends and family asked her, “What do you do when you realize that you are about to die?” She said, “It’s simple. You get things right with God and make sure of your salvation. You spend as much time with those you love as you can. She summed it up with, You know, you really should spend every day like you only have a few more days to live.” She gave us all wise advice in light of the fact that we will all die sooner or later.
PRAYER: Lord, may I accept you as my Savior and then so live each and every day in light of your coming for me.
